Migraine
I don't know anything about having a migraine
I've never hidden from the colorful light rays
To worry so much
that I almost throw up
The emptiness fills where I lie awake
So when you suffer how do I relate?
Well I'd rather turn it off and
just sit with you
till it all goes away
I'd be right there to take
and feel the worst half of your brain
Can this basement couch be your home for now?
Can I be your blanket and pill?
And when we've reached your dreams
I'll go
Pulling out all your fears until your scalp hurts too
I don't understand, though I wish that I can
stop your nightmares
and tell you I care
but I can't find pain anywhere
So can my sympathy be sincere?
I'd rather turn it off and
just sit with you
till it all goes away
I'd be right there to take and feel
the worse side of your brain
Can this basement couch be your home for now?
Can I be your blanket and pill?
And when we've reached your dreams
I'll go
