Frankenstein
I woke up
and Frankenstein was still there
Last night stuck halfway in and out of my head
I remembered I did want to bring something back
from the dead
So I got a fly's head, a feline, and my ears,
sewed them up with unfashionable words and chords
When he was born, I knew that the monster was indeed my son
So I locked him up in my castle
but still hear him everywhere I go
How can this part of me be satisfied
or I be whole?
"Let me be the hero you want to see in the world"
"Let me go out to comfort and to disturb"
I didn't know what he is or where he's coming from
only that he's my son
Though single-cell reproduction is part of the earth
I still tried to grant his wish for a partner
A piece of my sanity for a piece of art
which sounds like this
"Who out there is not warm and raw like you?"
"Whose heartbeats can be inaudible?"
You're ignored because they're scared of you
and I'm scared I might be so too"
Frankenstein grows in me like
he's done nothing wrong, so I realized
that lifeless thing was my fantasy
but now it's singing
